Innov-X Systems was founded in early 2001 to revitalize the
XRF industry with a pioneering approach to portable analyzers.
When Innov-X delivered the world's first x-ray tube-based
portable XRF, a new era in portable XRF began.
We leveraged our experience and knowledge in portable application
requirements; high-performance, rugged miniaturized technology;
Pocket PC utilization; and XRF methodology to engineer our
high-performing portable elemental analyzer from the ground
up. Our universal hardware platform can be configured for
hand-held, mobile, benchtop, on-line and OEM applications.
Core to the Innov-X business philosophy is our rapid response
to custom application requirements. We are committed to delivering
cost effective, advanced portable technology solutions to
our customers. With thousands of our systems already being
used worldwide, Innov-X Analyzers cut across geographical
boundaries for true worldwide use.
Our analyzers are based on a universal hardware platform
for ease of configuration and installation. The PC technologies
we use offer flexible software, exceptional graphical user
interface (GUI), multiple languages, wireless communication,
global positioning software and conventional MS Windows architecture
for rapid and seamless customization.
Innov-X Systems Headquarters occupies 35,000ft2
of space in Woburn, MA, just north of Boston. Innov-X Systems
has full service offices in Europe and throughout the Asia/Pacific

I-93N to 128S.
From 128S or 128N
- Take Exit 35 to Route 38 Wilmington/Woburn.
- Yield onto the rotary and get off at the exit for Rte
38N Wilmington/Lowell.
- Get in the left lane and take a left at the first set
of lights that leads into a shopping center. There is a
small sign to Sylvan Rd. at the light.
- Take the next left in front of the Stop and Shop and follow
that road (Sylvan Rd) around. Note that Stop and Shop will
be on your right and Applebee's will be on your left as
you drive along the road.
- Continue on that road until you see a large parking area
and business complex to your right. The building for Skyworks
will be directly in front of you.
- Take a right, just before Skyworks, into the large parking
area for the business complex.
- Park near the front door of the entrance with the Career
Place sign on the building.
- Enter the right-side front door and check in at our reception
area at the top of the stairs.

The Innov-X TEechnology ADdvantage
At Innov-X Systems,
we engineered our Handheld XRF from the ground up for real-time,
reliable elemental analysis wherever needed. X-ray tubes have
long been proven to be the most versatile, high performing
excitation sources for XRF analysis. We harnessed that energy
and integrated it with the rapidly evolving technology of
portable and wireless computers to introduce the first handheld
system designed around a miniature x-ray tube. Some companies
trying to follow our lead have simply wedged a tube into a
unit intended for isotopes.
Critical to the Innov-X design
is our novel shock-proof mounting and heat-sinking mechanism
for the x-ray tube. This eliminates heat-related tube failures
that plague other portable XRF systems. Our design also accommodates
wide ambient temperature swings, without which tube sparking
can occur and thus lead to tube or board failure.

surfaces in the heat and humidity of the Gulf Coast.
